Man United to make stunning swap offer for Milan Skriniar
According to a report from Calciomercato (h/t Express), Manchester United are keen on signing Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar. To that end, they are willing to offer both Chris Smalling and Alexis Sanchez in exchange for the centre-back.
The 25-year-old Skriniar came through the youth ranks at Slovakian outfit Zilina and made the switch to Italy in 2016, joining Sampdoria. After an impressive 18-month spell, he was snapped up by Inter Milan, where has thrived.
During his three-year stint with the Nerazzurri, Skriniar has grown into one of the most coveted young defenders in the game. The 25-year-old has been linked with a switch to Old Trafford for quite some time now.
Our defence has shown great improvements over the course of the season. However, Victor Lindelof still doesn’t convince completely, while Eric Bailly’s injury history doesn’t inspire confidence.
In addition, with Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo set to be sold, bringing in a new centre-back is something that the club needs to consider. And, Skriniar would be a brilliant signing for the side.
And, in order to sign him, Manchester United are ready to offer two players – Alexis Sanchez and Chris Smalling – in exchange. (h/t Express)
Sanchez is currently on loan at Inter, who are intent on making his transfer permanent once his temporary deal expires. Smalling, too, is on loan in Serie A with AS Roma and has impressed heavily, which has led to interest from the Nerazzurri. (h/t Express)

Manchester United and Inter have a good working relationship. In the past twelve months, the two clubs have been involved in three transfer deals – Romelu Lukaku, Sanchez and Ashley Young.
So, there is a good chance that we may see this one go through as well, although it is likely that they will demand more than just Sanchez and Smalling in exchange for Skriniar.
