Inter Milan hoping to use Ivan Perisic to sign Alexis Sanchez permanently
According to a report from Fussball Transfers (h/t Mirror), Inter Milan are keen on signing Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez permanently, and are willing to allow winger Ivan Perisic move the other way.
Perisic was linked with Manchester United in the past when Jose Mourinho was in charge at the club. The 31-year-old Croatian international has scored six goals and 10 assists in 31 matches in all competitions in 2019/20.
Bayern are unlikely to make Perisic’s transfer permanent, while Inter Milan too have deemed him surplus to requirements and are trying to offload him in the summer. (h/t Mirror)
At the same time, Inter Milan are intent on signing Alexis Sanchez on a permanent basis. The Chilean joined the Italians on a temporary basis last summer. And after a difficult start, he is finally showing his brilliance of late.
But with Manchester United deciding to cut short his loan spell ahead of the Europa League, Inter are working towards signing him on a permanent basis. To that end, they are willing to use Perisic as a makeweight to secure the signing of the Manchester United man.
Perisic, with his ability to play on either flank, would offer added depth in the attack for us.
However, at 31, he would hardly be a long-term solution. Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the club has moved towards youth-centred recruitment policy. So it is hard to see how Perisic would fit in at the club at the moment.

However, at the same time, it would help us offload someone like Sanchez, who earns a huge pay packet but doesn’t belong in the manager’s plans.
So it will be interesting to see if Ole does consider Inter’s proposal involving Alexis and Perisic.
