According to the Daily Star, Manchester United youngster, Brandon Williams is confident that the club will qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League.

The Red Devils are currently in third spot after Chelsea and Leicester City both lost their penultimate games. It could have been so much better had we defeated West Ham United instead of just getting a draw.

This forces us to take our top four hopes into the last day of the season in what is effectively a shootout against fifth-placed Leicester City.

The Foxes need a win and are at home. But this has not fazed Williams, who has enjoyed a promising breakout season.

“We’ve got to go there now (to Leicester) with full confidence that we’ll win, because we’re the biggest club in the world and we need to be playing where this club needs to be playing which is the Champions League.”

Although a draw at the King Power Stadium will be enough, Williams insists United only have victory on their minds.

“We’re going there to win and not to have any nerves going there.”

Leicester have seen their form drop off dramatically since the restart. They will also be without first-team stars Ben Chilwell and James Maddison. Both the players have been linked with a summer move to Old Trafford.

Regardless of the confidence and tactics, the team will still have to get the job done. The Foxes have shown themselves to be formidable opponents over the course of the season. We can only ignore them at our own peril.

Williams endured a bad night against West Ham. Hammers star Jarrod Bowen ran rings around our left-back in what was a humbling lesson for the promising young starlet.

The youngster cannot afford to perform the same way against Leicester. The stakes are just too high for us to slip away at the last moment.
