The 18-year-old Greenwood has enjoyed a remarkable breakthrough campaign this time out. In 40 appearances for the first-team, the Englishman has come up with a return of 13 goals and 5 assists, which for his age, is brilliant.
The teenage sensation has developed the knack of scoring important goals in his short time at the top level. His strike against Brighton & Hove Albion in the club’s previous game highlighted the ability that Greenwood possesses.
And speaking ahead of the club’s latest assignment against Bournemouth, manager Solskjaer has praised his young ward, claiming that he can go a long way in the game. (h/t Sky Sports)
“He’s performing off the bench or when he starts and he’s developed fantastically this season. The sky’s the limit, it’s up to him, he knows what he should do can do and must do to continue playing, but that’s between us.”
Solskjaer, having been an ace goalscorer during his time as a player at Old Trafford, insisted that Greenwood is much better than he was at this age. (h/t Sky Sports)
“Mason’s way ahead of what I was at 18 or 19, that’s for sure. He’s got a knack of scoring goals, it’s natural for him. He’s a brilliant boy to learn with and he keeps making better decisions.”
