Pogba returned to Manchester United from Juventus in the summer of 2016, in a deal worth £89m. After a brilliant first season though, the 27-year-old has failed to live up to expectations.
Confrontations with Jose Mourinho, controversy drummed up by his agent Mino Raiola have all meant that Pogba’s time has been dominated by negative headlines more often than not.
The Frenchman claimed that he wanted to leave last summer, but the club did not sell him. However, speculations have once again been rife, with both Juventus and Real Madrid wanting to sign him. (h/t Mirror)
Januzaj, though, believes that Pogba will be staying at Manchester United this summer. The Belgian is a close friend of the midfielder, having come through the youth ranks at our club together. And he is insistent that an exit will not happen. (h/t Mirror)
“I think Paul is staying. I am still very, very close with Paul. We have known each other since we were kids, when we both played in the United youth teams. Our families are also close friends and we keep in contact. That will never change.”
Pogba, should he stay, would be a boost for the club. Agreed that he has had his ups and downs, but on his day, there are few better midfielders than the Frenchman.

The 27-year-old has endured an injury-riddled 2019/20 campaign. Back to full fitness, we should see him take the field when the season resumes.
As far his future is concerned, how he applies himself for the rest of the season may have a bearing on the club’s final decision.
