Manchester United star Paul Pogba set for Juventus return
According to a report from L’Equipe (h/t Express), Manchester United midfield star Paul Pogba is poised to complete a stunning return to Serie A giants Juventus.
Pogba, a Manchester United academy graduate, left the club in 2012 to join Juventus on a free transfer. The 27-year-old enjoyed a successful four-year stint in Turin, before returning to Old Trafford in 2016.
Having returned to Manchester United in a club-record £89m deal, the midfielder enjoyed a fine second-debut, leading the Red Devils to the League Cup and Europa League triumph.
However, since that season, he hasn’t been able to perform consistently for the club despite having shown glimpses of his top-notch quality.
Clashes with former boss Jose Mourinho, injury problems and comments from agent Mino Raiola have all contributed towards Pogba’s uncertain future at the club.
Juventus have been one of the clubs interested in signing the Frenchman. And now, as per the aforementioned report, Pogba is closing in on a return to Turin, with the Serie A champions working on the finishing touches of the deal.

Pogba is likely to cost Juventus £72m. Although, the club are hoping to use Adrien Rabiot as a bargaining chip to bring the price down. (h/t Express)
Rabiot joined Juventus only last summer, but hasn’t been able to nail down a place in the team. He is open to a transfer to Manchester United in the summer.
