Inter Milan enter race for Man United target Moussa Dembele
According to Italian publication Corriere dello Sport (h/t Daily Star), Inter Milan have entered the race to sign Manchester United target Moussa Dembele.
The Italians have now made it a three-way tussle for the prolific Frenchman. However, the player still favours a return to England if given the choice.
Dembele started off at Fulham before going on to impress with Celtic in the SPL. He is no stranger to the English game and has made more than 150 appearances for both the clubs.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has identified the Frenchman as an ideal replacement for Romelu Lukaku. The Red Devils failed to replace the Belgian after he left for Inter last summer.
Inter boss Antonio Conte is keen to add Dembele to his roster if the Nerazzurri lose ace striker Lautaro Martinez. Currently linked with a move to Barcelona, selling him will ensure the Italians have the funds to sign the Lyon star.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed an impressive season at the Groupama Stadium and has scored an impressive 22 goals and 7 assists in 42 appearances.
With the future of Odion Ighalo under the scanner, signing a striker will be a priority come the transfer window.
Signing the player is easier due to Lyon’s current financial state. With no European football to offer next season, club president Jean-Michel Aulas has openly admitted that he might have no choice but to sell his stars.

United were also previously linked with Martinez. If it does end with us losing out on Dembele only to sign the Argentine, not many fans will mind that.
