The youngster has a release clause worth £22m. United, however, are hoping to sign him for cheaper, in a deal closer to £16m instead. It is quite a reasonable fee considering the potential the Argentine has.

If he does join, he will challenge the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, and Angel Gomes for a starting berth in the United XI.

Almada’s performances have also seen him garner the interest of our domestic rivals. The likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal also keen. Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are also keeping tabs on the youngster. (h/t Express)
