Manchester United keeping tabs on PSG striker Edinson Cavani

According to French publication L’Equipe (h/t MEN), Manchester United are keeping tabs on PSG striker Edinson Cavani, who will be a free agent this summer.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains locked in internal discussions regarding transfers, in spite of the season being put on hold. United are set to prioritize the signing of a winger, playmaker, and a centre-midfielder in the upcoming window. (h/t MEN)

The club wasn’t able to bring in a striker in January and had to settle for Nigerian veteran Odion Ighalo on loan. Although the striker has performed commendably, uncertainty over his future continues to persist.

United have now rekindled interest in Cavani, who was also in the club’s sights in January. The Red Devils were unwilling to pay a hefty fee for a player who was in the final years of his contract. A deal could not be agreed and the Uruguayan ended up staying in Paris. (h/t MEN)

Despite being 33, Cavani continues to be one of the best finishers in the game. He still has a couple of seasons left in him and will add experience and quality to our frontline.
