Man United interested in landing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Arsenal
According to a report by The Sun (h/t Evening Standard), Manchester United are eyeing a summer swoop for Arsenal attacker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Although he is 30, Aubameyang is a proven Premier League player, having amassed 49 goals in 74 matches for Arsenal.
A real game-changer on his day, the player also boasts of healthy experience across Europe, having been an instrumental member of Borussia Dortmund before joining the Gunners.
United have lacked a reliable striker since Romelu Lukaku’s departure last summer. Although Marcus Rashford has done well up front, it would be better if we signed someone who would provide ample competition and back-up if needed.
However, there is a catch. The Sun (h/t Evening Standard) reports that in order to leave Arsenal, Aubameyang requires guaranteed Premier League action.
With the season currently suspended until the end of April, it remains to be seen if we are able to usurp fourth-placed Chelsea and secure a berth in the elite competition.
