Man United-linked Grealish has door open for Aston Villa exit
According to a report by The Metro, Aston Villa manager Dean Smith has given the green light for skipper Jack Grealish to leave in the summer.
The 24-year-old has been one of the standout performers in the Premier League this season and as a result, Manchester United are interested in signing him, as per The Metro.
The report adds that Smith is aware of the fact that Aston Villa would be unable to match Grealish’s ambitions of playing at the top level.
The Villans are dangerously close to the relegation zone despite getting promoted only last season. And if they are unable to beat the drop, it will be interesting to see if Grealish chooses to leave or not.
But if Smith is to be believed, Grealish wants to win trophies and that is something Aston Villa are not doing right now.
As far as United are concerned, we haven’t been at our best either but the Englishman would have a better chance of achieving his goals with us rather than with Villa.

A top-four finish would help us hand Grealish the lure of Champions League football if we sign him. All in all, from what we have seen this term, the Aston Villa star would be an excellent addition to our squad.
