Ed Woodward wants Aaron Ramsey to replace Paul Pobga at United
Manchester United chief Ed Woodward is keen on getting Aaron Ramsey to replace Paul Pogba, according to Tuttosport (h/t Express.)
Pogba returned to United amidst much fanfare in 2016. However, it has not gone according to plan, with the midfielder struggling to make an impact.
Pogba has suffered from a number of injuries this season and has not featured for United since the 4-1 victory over Newcastle United in December. (h/t Whoscored)
The report goes on to say that the 26-year-old is keen on a new challenge as he looks to leave Old Trafford in the summer. He has made just a paltry eight appearances for the club all season while contributing just two assists.
Former club Juventus are thought to be keen on bringing back the midfielder to Turin with Real Madrid also interested. The report says that the Italian giants could include Aaron Ramsey in a potential swap deal.
The 29-year-old Welsh international has already played in the Premier League, having made 262 appearances in his 11 seasons for Arsenal. Ramsey would add much need maturity and drive into a Man United midfield lacking those attributes right now.
