Moussa Dembele keen on Man Utd move but Lyon demand £84m
According to a report by The Sun, Lyon forward Moussa Dembele is eager to seal a summer move to join Manchester United. But for that to happen, we would need to part with a fee in the region of £84m, as per president Jean-Michel Aulas’ demands.
The French forward has been in excellent form this season. He enjoyed a stellar tenure with Scottish giants Celtic prior to joining the Ligue 1 outfit and since the transfer, he has been firing on all cylinders.
Having scored 13 goals already in the ongoing campaign so far, Dembele would be a solid addition to our attack.
The fact that he has shown a willingness to move to Old Trafford should be taken seriously by the United hierarchy.
Consecutive wins over Chelsea and Watford have reinvigorated our hopes of a top-four finish but we cannot settle for mediocrity next season as well.
Our lack of goals has cost us dearly and the failure to sign a new striker following Romelu Lukaku’s departure has worsened the situation.

And to that end, signing Dembele in the summer would be a brilliant move. He has proven during his time with Celtic and Lyon that he is capable of delivering the goods on a consistent basis. Hence, United must not hesitate to land his signature in the summer.
