Borussia Dortmund could make a transfer move for Manchester United striker, Anthony Martial, to replace Erling Haaland.

Solskjaer warns Anthony Martial about expecting more from him

According to a report by The Metro, Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has warned Anthony Martial that he expects more from him this season.

Martial has been enjoying an upturn in fortunes lately, scoring 3 goals in 3 games in about a week’s time. In addition, he scored a goal in United’s recent 3-0 win vs Watford over the weekend.

The report adds that Martial’s attitude has often gotten him in hot water but Solskjaer had admitted to being the player’s biggest critic. He also expects more from the Frenchman since losing Marcus Rashford to an injury.

“I am delighted with the week Anthony has had,” said Solskjaer. “He has got his critics and I am one of his biggest, probably. I keep demanding different stuff from him.”

Speaking about his display against Watford in particular, Solskjaer added:

“And this today is the Anthony we know more about. The skill is just mind-blowing, sometimes the skills he shows. But I want more from him and I’ll keep on at him.”
