Man Utd legend Evra claims he asked Solskjaer to play Brandon Williams
According to a report by Daily Express, Manchester United legend Patrice Evra has claimed that he had asked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to play Brandon Williams.
The youngster has impressed at left-back on numerous occasions this season and as per the report, Evra was the one who had influenced the Norwegian boss.
Evra, who is currently studying to earn his coaching badges, was one of United’s best left-backs. The fact that he recognized Williams’ talent speaks volumes of the youngster’s calibre.
In an interview with Copa90 (h/t Daily Express), Evra said:
“I’m doing my coaching badges at Manchester United, I go like two weeks per month to do my course, and someone sent me a video about Brandon.”
He went on to add,
“So, I saw him, and he was tough, and after the training session I went with the first-team and I saw Ole.”

Considering Luke Shaw’s frequent injury problems, it is great that a promising youngster like Brandon Williams has managed to burst onto the first-team picture.
In 22 first-team appearances so far this term, the 19-year-old has put in stellar displays while also chipping in with a goal and assist each.
