Manchester United to offload 23-year-old starlet in exchange for £90m star

Red Devils offer Pereira for Leicester’s Harry Maguire

Manchester United are set to offer Andreas Perreira in exchange for Leicester City defender Harry Maguire, according to the Sun.

The Red Devils are reluctant to give up on Maguire as they want him to play at Old Trafford next season.

Pereira has become an outcast at United, featuring only in 37 games in a space of four years. The 23-year-old midfielder spent subsequent loan spells with La Liga sides Granada and Valencia prior to last season.

United don’t want to shell out Maguire’s staggering price tag of £90million, instead, they want to offload Pereira, who Brendan Rodgers admires a lot. The 26-year-old has been at the heart of the Foxes’ defence for the past two seasons, making 76 appearances.

Maguire- an important aspect in squad overhaul

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is currently sorting out defensive reinforcements as star defenders like Chris Smalling, Phil Jones endured an erratic season.

Maguire could be a perfect partner for Victor Lindelof, who has been impressive since his arrival from Benfica.
