PSV’s Denzel Dumfries is linked with a move to Old Trafford
Manchester United have tabled a lucrative £25m bid for PSV Eindhoven right-back Denzel Dumfries, according to the Sun.
United’s search for the right-backs hasn’t seemed to stop as many names have emerged on Solskjaer’s wish list. While Aaron Wan-Bissaka remains the top priority for the Red Devils, Dutch youngster Dumfries becomes the latest one to get on the radar of the Red Devils.
The 23-year-old had a great season in the Eredivisie, racking up 4 goals and 6 assists in 34 appearances. Furthermore, he played a significant role in PSV finishing second in the table behind Ajax.
Prior to his move to PSV, Dumfries played for fellow Dutch outfit Heerenveen. He has also earned five caps for Ronald Koeman’s Netherlands side, making his debut last year.
Should United move for Dumfries?
While Crystal Place full-back Wan- Bissaka’s stance remains unclear, United really can opt a move for Dumfries given that he comes with a lesser price tag than that of Wan-Bissaka.
The Dutchman is quite speedy down the flanks and possesses great dribbling skills. Furthermore, his will to contribute in the attacking third and track back to the defence makes him one of the most exciting prospects.
