Man United interested in Norwich City star Max Aarons

Manchester United have chosen Norwich City’s Max Aarons as the alternative if they fail to sign their prime target Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to the Sun.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to see Wan-Bissaka play for the Old Trafford outfit next season, though the Red Devils find his price tag of £50m as an expensive one.

Now, United have identified Canaries youngster Aarons as an alternative for the Eagles full-back.

The 19-year-old really enjoyed a great campaign with the Yellows, eventually playing a vital role in them earning promotion to Premier League. The English U-19 international also bagged an eye-catching nine-goal tally.

Aarons is valued around £15m and has a contract with the Canaries until 2023. He is also watched by fellow Premier League clubs Arsenal and Chelsea.

Is Aarons a better choice than Wan-Bissaka?

The Canaries teenager possesses tremendous pace down the flanks with an eye for precise passes and is a good dribbler as well. Aarons was one of the breakout stars of the recently-concluded Championship campaign, bagging the EFL young player of the year award.

Although Wan-Bissaka had the same impact at Crystal Palace, his hefty price tag could complicate his move to Old Trafford.
