A good pre-season hasn't translated to a good campaign.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer persistent on bringing Wan-Bissaka to Old Trafford

Manchester United are set to raise the bid for Aaron Wan-Bissaka as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on landing the Crystal Palace full-back at Old Trafford, according to the Sun.

Earlier, United submitted a bid of around £40m for the 21-year-old and now they are ready to up the value to around £50m.

The Eagles full-back has had a great season in the Premier League, playing 39 games with 4 assists in all competitions.

Furthermore, he was an integral part in Roy Hodgson’s side finishing 12th in the Premier League table. His string of excellent displays allowed him to bag the Eagles player of the season award.

United need to strengthen their full-back position

The Red Devils are in desperate need of a quality full-back after Ashley Young endured one of his worst seasons. The former Aston Villa man was constantly panned by the fans for his string of horrible displays while Diego Dalot, United’s second-choice, was deprived of chances.

Meanwhile, PSG’s Thomas Meunier has also been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
