Man United reject Inter Milan’s offer of swap deal involving Icardi and Lukaku
Manchester United have rejected Inter Milan’s offer of swapping Mauro Icardi for Romelu Lukaku, according to Express.
The Italian outfit has been keeping close tabs on Lukaku for a while and proposed a deal involving their star striker Icardi.
But the Red Devils, who want the Belgian’s entire release clause of £80million to be met, have rejected the offer.
Lukaku, 26, has been out of sorts for United in recent times and Antonio Conte, the newly appointed manager of Inter, turns out to be a great fan of the Belgian.
On the other hand, Icardi endured a controversial season as he decided to stay put after being stripped off the captaincy.
The Argentine bagged 21 goals and was out of action for a course of two months, which eventually thwarted his call-up for the upcoming Copa America tournament.
United have had another offer rejected by the Serie A outfit involving Ivan Perisic, who Jose Mourinho admired a lot.
