Man United plotting a massive swoop for Betis star Lo Celso

Manchester United are plotting a massive swoop for Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso (h/t Mirror).

The Argentine was pursued by United’s fellow Premier League club Tottenham, whose £52m bid is said to be snubbed by Betis.

Now, the Red Devils want to bring the ex-PSG playmaker to Old Trafford as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is working towards major squad overhaul.

Lo Celso, 23, took the La Liga by storm, playing a pivotal role for the Spanish outfit to finish 10th in the table.

He has bagged an eye-catching 22-goal tally this season across all competitions and put up some stellar displays against Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Despite being deployed as a central midfielder, Lo Celso averages 7.27 (out of 10 on whoscored) as an attacking midfielder, with 3 goals and 3 assists.

He hasn’t sighed away from being a centre-forward either as he netted 4 goals in that position. Furthermore, the former Rosaria Central youngster will be a key player to watch out for in Copa America next month.

United’s plans for Lo Celso

The Norwegian manager is currently sorting out midfield reinforcements after his side concluded an underwhelming season.

Lo Celso would be a brilliant acquisition for the Red Devils and can elevate them to greater heights in the upcoming season.
