Milan goalkeeper Donnarumma linked with a move to Old Trafford
Manchester United are interested in AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to the Sun.
David de Gea had a rift with United over the wage issues, which has now made his future uncertain. The Spaniard will become a free agent at the end of next season, with PSG seem to be his potential suitors.
And now the Italian goalkeeper emerged as the latest candidate to fill up De Gea’s role after the names like Jasper Cillessen and Andre Onana.
Donnarumma was a regular for Milan in the recently concluded season, conceding 32 goals in a total of 35 games with 14 clean sheets across all competitions. In fact, he was the third highest to keep more clean sheets (12) in Serie A.
He has now made a total of 163 appearances for Milan, earning 12 caps for his national side as well.
Donnarumma to United?
United’s defence this season was completely torn apart by the opponents and De Gea put up one of his dreadful performances over the years. The 28-year-old has kept only 7 clean sheets in the Premier League this season, one of the lowest in the league.
The Norwegian manager will certainly strike gold should Donnarruma move to Old Trafford.
