David De Gea snubs contract offers from Manchester United

Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea has snubbed contract extension, leaving Manchester United in limbo, according to the Sun.

The Red Devils’ No. 1 earlier demanded hefty wages to become a mainstay at Old Trafford, which the club has failed to meet.

Meanwhile, PSG are plotting a £60million move for De Gea in the current transfer window and also have plans to sign him on a free transfer next year.

The former Atletico Madrid shot-stopper has been one of the key players for the Red Devils since joining in 2011. He has cemented himself as one of the best players in his position at Old Trafford.

However, De Gea was also a part of the torrid campaign under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. In fact, Spain’s No. 1 conceded 63 goals and kept only 10 clean sheets this season, a mediocre stat over the years for him.

The Norwegian manager is set to rebuild his current side and losing De Gea would be a big blow for him.

De Gea has been an integral part of United over the years and his stats are a testimony to that. The Red Devils have shortlisted Barcelona’s second-string keeper Jasper Cillessen as the Spaniard’s successor.
