Massive: The Red Devils want to sign the out-of-favour Madrid star Isco

Manchester United are competing with fellow Premier League clubs Liverpool and Chelsea for the signing of Real Madrid’ Isco, according to the Sun.

The Spaniard endured a fluctuating season after falling down the pecking order of former manager Santiago Solari. Later, he regained the momentum under Zinedine Zidane.

However, the Spanish international was rarely deployed as a starter, which limited his progress throughout the season. Now, the former Malaga player appears not to be on the wish list of Zidane alongside out-of-favour Gareth Bale.

Why United should move for Isco

Ole Gunner Solskjaer is completely inclined to rebuild the entire United squad after missing out on a Champions League qualification in his first season.

The Norwegian is in definite need of a Playmaker who could provide hefty support to the Red Devils’ attacking line-up.

Jesse Lingard’s contribution wasn’t adequate as he struggled with injuries while Juan Mata has now entered his 30’s and runs out of contract.

Mata’s compatriot Ander Herrera is set to leave the club, which leaves Solskajer high and dry. Isco would be a great addition for Solskajer who completely prefers the attacking way of football.

The 26-year-old’s magical skills, ability to play on the wings, way of dictating the game and knack of precise passes will make him a talisman at Old Trafford for years to come.

Difficulties

United could lose Isco to the rival clubs after missing out a place in the Champions League next season. Moreover, PSG are also keen on the Los Blancos midfielder and his teammates Bale and Toni Kroos for a record-breaking £180m move.
