Man United submit £45million bid for Losc Lille striker Nicolas Pepe
Manchester United have submitted a stunning £45million bid for Lille forward Nicolas Pepe, according to Daily Mirror.
The Ivory Coast international has been on the radar of United for a while now, alongside Arsenal and PSG.
Pepe’s breakthrough season with Lille
The Ivory Coast striker has been a revelation for the Ligue 1 side this season, with an incredible goal tally of 32.
Pepe’s notable displays include the hat-trick against Amiens followed by a stunning performance against PSG, where he scored a goal and set up two more in a 5-1 win.
He is currently the second highest goalscorer (20) behind Kylian Mbappe and the second most assists provider (11) in Ligue 1.
United in need of a proper striker
United have just ended their disastrous season with plenty of takeaways to be considered.
Most importantly, their attacking prowess has been dormant, with the fluctuating form of Romelu Lukaku.
Being the side’s key and only striker, the Belgian has only scored 14 goals this season in more than 40 games, which indicates his rustiness.

Pepe fits the bill for Man United and would strengthen the side’s attack in the upcoming season. The Ivorian’s tremendous pace combined with precise finishing technique makes him one of the hottest strikers in Europe at the moment.
And Old Trafford would be a perfect destination for him to move up in his career.
