Manchester United set their eyes on Idrissa Gueye

According to a report from the Daily Mail UK, Manchester United are preparing a move for Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye.

The Senegalese international is rated at around £40million and is wanted by Ligue 1 giants PSG.

Gueye’ excellent season with Everton

The former Lille Player has been a regular for Marco Silva’s side this season, with 33 appearances in the Premier League.

The midfielder further played a big part helping the Toffees finish eighth in the table. The ex-Aston Villa player moved to Goodison Park in 2017 and has made more than 100 appearances.

He also earned 57 international caps for the Senegal national team.

United’s midfield conundrum

The Red Devils endured a tough spell this season, eventually failing to qualify for the Champions League. Gueye would be a perfect addition to the Red Devils and surely can help Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reinforce his side.

His natural position is a defensive midfielder and is known for his work rate, ball recoveries and high pressing. He can also strike up a good partnership with an in-form Scott McTominay in the middle of the park.
