Man Utd News: Solksjaer reveals future plans for Alexis Sanchez and De Gea

United really endured a fluctuating season, eventually finishing outside the top four. Sanchez and De Gea had a tough time on the field with both the players suffering a dip in form late.

Speaking of the Spanish goalkeeper, Solksjaer said that the contract talks are in process and added the clubs want De Gea at Old Trafford.

“David has one year left on his contract, of course, we want to extend with him,” he said.

“They’re in talks, let’s hope it will get sorted.”

De Gea has conceded more than 50 goals and kept only 7 clean sheets this season, a testimony to his dreadful form. The Red Devils gaffer was reluctant in giving too much information about Sanchez’s future.

He said, (h/t Express UK)

“Alexis has a contract with us. I’m not going to speak too much about individuals.”

The Chilean clearly struggled to find his feet ever he since he moved to Old Trafford on a sumptuous deal.

And as far this season is concerned, the ex-Barca star often found his time on the sidelines owing to the recurring injury woes.

Solskjaer also emphasised that the fate of the fringe players would be decided before July.
