Manchester United interested in Lille attacker Nicolas Pepe as Romelu Lukaku set to leave club
The Express reports that Romelu Lukaku is looking for a move away from Manchester United with Juventus and Inter Milan interested in the Belgian.
The report adds that United would be looking for a replacement and have been impressed by Nicolas Pepe of Lille, who is rated at £60million.
The Ivorian attacker has been excellent for the Ligue 1 side and the Express claims he will be allowed to leave the French club.
The 23-year-old winger has 20 goals and 11 assists in all competitions for Lille, and only Kylian Mbappe has scored more goals in Ligue 1 this season than Pepe.
United face a battle for Pepe
Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp is also set to make an official bid for the 23-year-old, according to the report.
The Red Devils also face competition from Chelsea, PSG, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan for the 23-year-old (h/t Express).
Pepe would make an incredible signing for the Red Devils as we have lacked some bite in the attack.
United need to spend in the summer to build a team that seems to be lacking something in every department.
The report adds that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be given £200million by Ed Woodward ahead of the summer for transfers.
The Red Devils are also in a tough situation regarding their Champions League hopes for next season with Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal still in the race for the third and fourth spots.
