Bookmakers have placed Manchester United as favourites to sign Christian Eriksen from Tottenham after Mauricio Pochettino claimed he was unsure about the Dane’s future, according to the Manchester Evening News.
The 26-year-old has been excellent in recent weeks for Spurs but has 18 months left on his current deal. Betfair have played United as 6/1 favourites to land the former Ajax star with Real Madrid and Barcelona priced at 7/1.
The Tottenham manager recently claimed he had “no news” about Eriksen’s contract extension and claimed it was the player’s right to decide about his future (h/t Manchester Evening News):
“It would be fantastic if Christian Eriksen committed to the club for a long time. If not, it’s his right to do what he wants to do.”
The Dane had his injury concerns this season but has found the back of the net in three of the last four Premier League ties.
Eriksen would be a valuable addition to this side given we are seeing the best of Paul Pogba now. The French midfielder struggled for form under Jose Mourinho but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has got the team playing well too.

Dealing with Tottenham will be another headache as Daniel Levy will try to get the most from the deal. However, Eriksen is one of the best in the world and paying a huge sum for the Dane would solve some of our midfield problems.
