The Times (h/t Sun) claims that Massimiliano Allegri is interested in the Manchester United job and is taking English lessons but faces competition from Diego Simeone and Mauricio Pochettino.
Allegri has done a fantastic job with Juventus leading them to four Serie A titles and also to two Champions League finals.
The report adds that he is contracted till 2020, however, he is a big admirer of the Premier League. Pochettino is the first-choice manager for the Red Devils, however, the report claims that the United top brass will consider all options available.
United replaced Jose Mourinho with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the former striker has done a decent job as interim manager.
The Norwegian has a tough job on his hands as we need to make it into the Champions League next season.
The former striker opened his account with two wins from two but tougher challenges will come soon. Allegri would be a quality manager to bring in and it will be interesting to see if he decides to leave Turin for us.
We are still a project that doesn’t seem to have a direction after sacking our third manager since Sir Alex Ferguson left.
