Manchester United are tracking Galatasaray defender Ozan Kabak as Jose Mourinho seeks defensive reinforcements, according to the Sun.
The 18-year-old has played 13 times for the Turkish giants and has been watched by scouts from the Red Devils, as per the report.
Galatasaray want £20m (h/t Sun) for the Turkish defender, but the report adds that foreign clubs could sign him for just £7m due to a special release clause.
The report adds that Inter Milan and Roma are also interested in the centre-back and Gala want to increase the player’s release clause to more than £30m.
United have struggled with their defence and have conceded 25 goals from just 15 games. We have a goal difference of -1 and are eight points behind the fourth-placed team.
Mourinho couldn’t sign a central defender in the summer window, and it will be interesting to see just what we do in January. Should we not invest in the side, making it to the Champions League next season would be a huge struggle.
The Red Devils need to turn things around quickly, and Kabak could be a quality signing but it is a little risky expecting the youngster to perform right from the start.
