Manchester United will make a move for Jordan Pickford to replace David De Gea, according to Sun. The report claims the latter’s exit from the club seems likely after failing to agree on a new long-term deal with the Red Devils.
Juventus are interested in the Spanish keeper (h/t Sun) and will try to sign him either in the summer or at the end of next season when the shot-stopper becomes a free agent.
The Premier League giants are unsure about his future, and manager Jose Mourinho is keen on getting England’s No. 1 keeper, as per the report.
Pickford has been exceptional for Everton since his move from Sunderland, and the Englishman has grown during his time with the Three Lions too.
The 24-year-old penned a new deal with the Toffees in the summer. However, the report claims that Manchester United might be too big a move to resist.
He is a quality keeper but yet to reach the same level as De Gea. United would lose out on one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and it will always be difficult to replace someone of his stature.

However, the way Pickford has developed his game in the past 12-18 months, we can expect him to reach the highest level sooner rather than later. If the Red Devils are unable to keep De Gea, then the next best option is the Englishman.
