Alexis Sanchez wants to leave Manchester United and his agent is trying to seal a move to Real Madrid, according to El Chiringuito (h/t Mirror).
The report adds that Real Madrid could make a move in the winter window as summer signing Mariano Diaz hasn’t done well at the club.
Sanchez has struggled for form since joining Manchester United in January. The 29-year-old has just four goals to his name for the Red Devils and was not selected for the Manchester derby which we lost 3-1.
The 29-year-old moving to Real would certainly make waves as he signed a long-term deal with United just a few months ago.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if United want a huge sum for the Chilean too. Sanchez also has another bridge to gap as he played for Real’s bitter rivals Barcelona before making a name for himself at Arsenal.
It is interesting to note that the Chilean has failed to light up Old Trafford despite performing well for Arsenal. The 29-year-old scored 80 times from just 166 games and helped the Gunners to a couple of FA Cups.
Jose Mourinho doesn’t have many attacking options that are of Sanchez’s quality and hopefully, we get to see the best of him soon at United.
Real have their own problems as they lie in sixth place in La Liga and have already lost four times in the league.
