Manchester United are willing to sell a couple of stars in the winter window but will keep Alexis Sanchez at the club, according to the Telegraph (h/t Daily Star).
The report adds that Jose Mourinho wants to sell Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo in the January window, in hopes of bringing another central defender at the club.
Toby Alderweireld, Harry Maguire and Yerry Mina were linked with a move to United in the summer, as per the report, but the club couldn’t sign a single central defender for the manager.
The report adds that it is unclear if United will sell Bailly. Meanwhile, Rojo has not appeared for the side although his deal will keep him at Old Trafford till 2021.
The situation with Sanchez is more complex as the report claims the Chilean wants to leave the club and join Paris Saint-Germain.
However, PSG are not interested in the former Barcelona man and are looking to sign younger players in the winter window.
The report further claims that Mourinho isn’t happy with Sanchez’s performances and that the player’s financial requirements are acting as a barrier for other clubs to sign him.
The 29-year-old has scored just one goal all season and hasn’t performed well since joining from the Gunners. The Chilean earns around £500,000-a-week (h/t Daily Star) and has only started seven games in all competitions.
