Manchester United are willing to accept a small fee for Ander Herrera, according to the Sun. The Spaniard is in the final year of his contract at Old Trafford and could leave on a free at the end of the season.
The midfielder could also sign a pre-contract with foreign clubs in the winter window, however, the report claims that United are willing to accept between £3million and £5million for the Spanish star.
The report adds that Everton are interested in the former Athletic Bilbao Star and Manchester United do not want to lose the 29-year-old on a free.
A source was quoted by the Sun as saying that United want to get a deal done, and Herrera might be interested in staying in England.
“He knows there’s interest in him but he has a young family and is settled in the area and likes living here.”
The report adds that his former club, Bilbao, are also interested in him and the player would be due around £2m in wages from the club from January till the end of the season.
Herrera is one of a number of players who are on the final year of their deals, but the Spaniard hasn’t started many games this season.

The 29-year-old should not leave on a free, and if we can get some change for him, it wouldn’t be a bad deal for the club.
