Jose Mourinho is upset with Ed Woodward after plans to discuss transfers were cancelled at the last moment, according to the Sun.
The report claims Mourinho had scheduled the talks regarding the targets in winter and plans to bring in a director of football at the club.
The manager was told on short notice that Woodward would not be available for the meeting, and the report adds that Mourinho told close advisors that he was “angry and frustrated”.
The report claims that the pair already has a strained relationship. And Mourinho blames the executive vice-chairman for not being able to sign a top centre-back in the summer.
Manchester United were linked (h/t Sun) to Toby Alderweireld, Harry Maguire and Jerome Boateng, but the United top brass was unwilling to spend on the players.
The report further adds that Mourinho is unhappy with the players being listed out for the winter window, and he has lost faith in several senior scouts.
United had struggled at the start of the season and lie in ninth place. They are 11 points behind the league leaders after 10 games, but recent performances have been better.
The Red Devils drew against Chelsea and beat Everton, while we came back from two goals down to beat Newcastle United.

The team does need to bring in some quality players to ensure a top four finish at least, and it will be interesting to see who might come in the January window.
