Manchester United are set to offer a revised contract offer to Anthony Martial in the coming weeks, according to the Daily Mail.
The report claims that the Frenchman is unsettled at the Red Devils and has refused offers from the club as he looks at other options.
The 22-year-old has a contract till 2020, as per the report, and United can activate a one-year extension on his deal. The Daily Mail reports that if the player doesn’t sign a new deal, the extension will give the Red Devils time to sell the player and not lose him on a free.
Martial is one of a number of players who haven’t been up to the mark this season. The French attacker has five starts to his name in all competitions and was exceptional in the club’s recent game against Chelsea.
The 22-year-old scored in our dramatic 3-2 win over Newcastle United as well and it will be interesting to see if the youngster does sign a new deal at the club.
Martial has immense potential but his growth has somewhat stagnated since the start of last season.
United could get a huge amount for the 22-year-old if they do decide to sell but at this point, we should be looking to keep the former Monaco man at the club for the foreseeable future.
