Matteo Darmian hasn’t cemented himself as a regular starter at Manchester United and Calciomercato claims three Italian clubs are interested in the full-back.
The 28-year-old joined us from Torino in 2015 but has only played one game in this campaign for the Red Devils.
The report says that Juventus, Inter Milan and AS Roma are tracking the Italian defender. Napoli also wanted the player in the summer but could not finalize a deal.
Darmian had spoken about a return to Italy earlier and was quoted by the outlet saying:
“Of course I’d rather play more, even if it means leaving Manchester; where I dream of going back to is Italy, in Serie A, where I got a lot of satisfaction.”
The Italian had a decent first campaign for the Red Devils but his performances didn’t improve in the following seasons.
With new signing Diogo Dalot and veteran Antonio Valencia fighting for the right-back spot, it will be tough for the 28-year-old to breakthrough.
Dalot looks like a quality signing after playing a couple of matches while Valencia always gives his 100% when on the pitch.

We should look towards making a tidy sum for the Italian since he is only 28 and has a few quality years of football left in him.
