Manchester United were knocked out of the Carabao Cup as Derby County defeated the Red Devils on penalties after the match finished 2-2.

United took the lead via Juan Mata in the first half but they failed to convert some of the other chances.

Frank Lampard’s Derby looked lively and Harry Wilson scored a brilliant free-kick in the 59th minute to level the scores.

Sergio Romero was sent off for handball in the 67th minute before Jack Marriot scored a header to put the Championship side ahead.

We needed heroics from Marouane Fellaini in the last minute to take the game to penalties.

Every player converted their chance except Phil Jones and we were dumped out, rightfully, by the Rams 8-7 on penalties.

This result heaps more pressure on Jose Mourinho as we haven’t made the best start to the season.
Some of the fans were extremely unhappy with the result at Old Trafford and shared their views on the players and the manager on Twitter.
