Alexis Sanchez got a start in the 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers but the Chilean wasn’t a threat for the away side.
The 29-year-old hasn’t scored for Manchester United this season and was rested in our 3-0 win over Young Boys in the Champions League.
The former Arsenal man was subbed in the 63rd minute and looks like a shadow of the player who was banging the goals in at the Emirates.
United have a number of options to play out wide and some fans were unhappy with the Chilean’s contribution.
The result leaves us eight points behind Liverpool, who are leading the Premier League after just six games so far.
Some fans weren’t letting the performance go and had a pop at the 29-year-old on Twitter.
💩 What on earth has happened to Alexis Sanchez?

My biggest question is how many poor games does Sanchez have to play in before he’s dropped
— Tyler (@Tyler_mufc19) September 22, 2018
You can count the amount of good games he’s had on one hand/ Sorry one finger

Alexis Sanchez has been a disaster at Manchester United. He’s clearly working hard, but everything he does is to the detriment of the team. It’s time to be dropped. It’s not working.
His role in the side is not paying dividends, so a positional change has to be looked at. #MUFC

Sometimes I watch Sanchez and wonder to myself “why do Stoke get all the good ex-Barca players?!” 😄 #MUFC

Alexis Sánchez’s torrid time at Manchester United continues as he’s dragged off for Juan Mata. He’s been piss poor today. Fred is also replaced by Anthony Martial. #MUFC #WWFC
