Zinedine Zidane has revealed his desire to return to coaching as he continues to be heavily linked with Manchester United, reports the Metro.
Zidane, 46, scooped a third straight Champions League trophy before quitting Real Madrid earlier this summer. And the Frenchman wants to return to the dugout soon.
“Certainly I’ll be coaching again soon because it’s what I like downing and what I’ve done all my life,” Zidane told TVE. (h/t the Metro)
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has endured a torrid start to this season and has clashed with the club’s hierarchy throughout the summer.
The Metro claims that Zidane is already preparing for life in the Old Trafford hot-seat by compiling a list of transfer targets. Toni Kroos, Thiago Alcantara, James Rodriguez and Edinson Cavani are said to be among a list of names that Zidane would like to join him at Old Trafford (h/t the Metro).

The report adds United star Paul Pogba is determined to play under Zidane after his public row with Mourinho. However, Mourinho is determined to hold onto his job after the United hierarchy’s backing to turn the tables around (h/t the Metro).
Although Zidane appears to be an exciting candidate for United, we must keep faith in Mourinho as he is the perfect man for the job. The Portuguese manager has won titles everywhere and our board must continue backing him, despite a slow start to the season.
