Former Liverpool star Graeme Souness has launched a scathing attack on Paul Pogba after our poor start to the campaign.
Manchester United have lost two of their first three games this season and the former midfielder was speaking to the Sunday Times (h/t Mirror) as he claimed Pogba is a selfish player.
“Paul Pogba plays for himself, it’s all about how cool he looks, showing us how clever he is. I reckon Pogba’s only in the team to maintain his transfer value until United can sell him, because he doesn’t merit his place for any other reason.
“Perhaps we’re now seeing the selfish player Fergue didn’t fancy the first time round?”
The Frenchman returned to United as a World Cup winner but hasn’t been great for his club as he was in Russia.
The 25-year-old has struggled to perform on the pitch but most of our players haven’t been close to finding their feet this season.
Souness further spoke about how great the dressing room was during Sir Alex Ferguson’s era and believed there was no quick fix to bringing that mentality back.
“I can’t see where the sea change of a happy dressing room and everyone pulling together is going to come from.
“The Fergie era is long gone for United and there is no quick fix. That United mentality that he nurtured and grew into an unstoppable force is consigned to history now and ain’t coming back anytime soon.”

Pogba and United have a tough task ahead if we are to win a trophy this season. The international break comes at a great time for us as we can iron out the kinks in our armour and come back stronger.
