The Sun reports that Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba had a fall out as the Manchester United manager warned the Frenchman that he should ask for a transfer in order to quit the club.
The report also quoted Mourinho as saying:
“If you wish to leave Manchester, again, all you have to do is ask for a transfer”.
The “again”, according to the report, was referring to the first time Pogba left United on a free transfer to join Juventus.
Pogba too did not hold back and told Mourinho that if he wants to talk formally, he should do so via agent Mino Raiola.
The report further added that Pogba is still upset at the treatment meted out to him by Mourinho last season when he was dropped by the manager.
The Frenchman’s performances at the World Cup were something that Mourinho had a go at and Pogba is unhappy with those comments.
According to the report, Mourinho gave the French midfielder the captain’s armband against Leicester City as an act of “faith”.
The Frenchman certainly performed well against the Foxes and he scored a third-minute penalty. The report further added that Mourinho believes Raiola is the reason for the rumours linking Pogba with a move away to Barcelona.
The transfer window is still open for the non-Premier League sides and losing Pogba would be a huge problem for us.

We would not be able to get a replacement for Pogba until the winter window, so the best option would be to keep hold of the player beyond this window and try to get the best out of him.
