Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell has claimed that Manchester United target Harry Maguire will be staying at the club for the entire season.
ESPN report that the English defender was one of several defenders linked with a move to Old Trafford in the summer but Jose Mourinho was unable to add another centre-back to his squad.
Chilwell was speaking after the 2-1 loss at the hands of United and was quoted by ESPN as saying:
“It is very good to have Harry back.
“We all know what Harry is capable of, we all know how good he is. He could have come here today and his head could have been all over the place, but he did brilliantly.
“He is a Leicester player, he wants to play for Leicester. He has made that clear to all of us. He is going to be here for the whole season.
“He is going to be good for us. We saw that again tonight, how good a player he is. We are all happy that he has stayed.”
The report from ESPN also adds that United were concerned about the price tag of Maguire and Toby Alderweireld, and decided not to make a move for either of them.
Maguire could do a decent job for us at the back and it will be interesting to see if we do make a move for him in the January window.

The central defender is young and would only get better with time. Mourinho has a history of working with and developing defenders and Maguire could be the next in the list.
