Barcelona are still certain they can complete a deal for Manchester United for star midfielder Paul Pogba before the end of the transfer window, according to the Mundo Deportivo (h/t Daily Mail).
The European transfer window shuts on 31st August and the report claims that Pogba has told his teammates at United that he wants to sign for the Catalan giants.
The Spanish report claims that Barcelona will wait for Pogba and believe that the deal can still take place despite the English window closing on Thursday. Mundo Deportivo also claims that Mino Raiola, the player’s agent, will try to work on the deal to take Pogba to the La Liga giants.
The report further adds that the Catalan giants believe a deal can take place due to Pogba’s poor relationship with Jose Mourinho. However, United are not willing to let go of the World Cup winner.
Mourinho was also quoted by the Daily Mail as saying that Pogba had come back with a desire to work.
“My perception, he arrived Monday, happy, proud, a desire to work.
“He worked amazingly well Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. He’s one of the players that I have to speak to, to see how physically and mentally he feels.”
Losing Pogba now would be a huge blow to the club as we would not be able to find a replacement for him either.

We must do all we can to keep hold of the French star as he was one of the best players at the World Cup. His performance against Leicester is an example of how important he is for Man United. We simply cannot afford to let him leave.
