More bad news for Manchester United as target from last summer is open to a Bundesliga move

Perisic has been with Inter Milan since 2015

Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic is open to working with Niko Kovac at Bayern Munich, which is a blow for Manchester United. The talented attacker was linked joining the Red Devils last summer as well but the move eventually fell through (h/t The Telegraph).

Fast forward a year and the Croatian continues to be linked with a move to join Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford, according to the Daily Mail, as the winger is expected to leave Inter in the summer.

However, the 29-year-old could be looking to link-up with the former manager of the Croatian national side.

The winger was speaking to Sport Bild (h/t Daily Mail) as he claimed that he would want to play either in Spain or England.

“Me at Bayern? Niko Kovac influenced me a lot.

“I played very well for Croatia when he was coach and we congratulated each other for everything we did in Germany.

“If he wants me, he knows where I am. I’d like to play in Spain or England one day, but the Champions League comes first.”

Perisic also added that any discussion regarding transfers would have to include his parent club too.

“I’ve heard that some clubs want me, but before that I must talk to Inter. Only then will I be able to take part in negotiations and make a decision.”

The Croatian was one of the most impressive performers for the national side in the World Cup and even scored in the final.

The 29-year-old wasn’t on the winning side, unfortunately, but he would be an excellent signing for us.

Perisic is someone who works hard for the team and his physicality would provide us with a different dimension in our attack too. We would have to work quickly if we are to sign him from Inter as we only have a few days left before the window closes.
