Manchester United are trying to offload superstar, reportedly want €80m

Anthony Martial

Manchester United have so far failed in their attempt to offload star forward Anthony Martial this summer. As per reports, the club have demanded an eye-catching €80million.

According to Paris United, Juventus were interested in Martial and were in advanced negotiations with the player at the start of the summer transfer window. However, the price demanded by our club cooled the Turin giants’ interest in the 22-year-old, who has left United’s pre-season tour of the United States to attend the birth of his baby in France.

While Juventus shunned the prospect of signing Martial, they did turn to superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and lured him away from Real Madrid earlier this month.

Paris Saint-Germain were offered Martial but the French champions have not responded to United’s offer due to their over-ambitious valuation of the 22-year-old forward, reports Paris United.

The Red Devils want €80million for Martial, who looks destined to leave our club this summer. The former Monaco starlet is earning upwards of £150,000-per-week at Old Trafford, which is also said to have put off PSG.

Martial’s time at our club has been full of ups and downs and he has been on a downhill spiral since the arrival of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal in January. Since Sanchez’s signing, Martial found game time hard to come by last season which massively hampered his confidence and the 22-year-old looked completely out of sorts in the pre-season tour games before departing for Paris.
