Wolverhampton Wanderers are looking to sign Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo for £25million, according to the Telegraph.

The Argentine had signed a three-year deal with us in March but the report claims that Jose Mourinho is looking to make some space in the side as we look to sign Harry Maguire from Leicester City.

Maguire has been one of the most consistent English players in the Premier League and moved to the Foxes at the start of last season. His former side, Hull City, were relegated and he joined the Foxes for a fee of just £17million.

The report suggests that Leicester would want £80million to part ways with the player. Maguire certainly had a great World Cup with England as we reached the semi-finals and was one of the best players in the tournament.

The English defender would certainly be an upgrade on Rojo. The Argentine has struggled with injuries throughout his time at Old Trafford as he has only played 9 Premier League games. Maguire, on the other hand, played all league games for Leicester last season.

The 25-year-old Leicester defender would cost us a bunch but if we can get £25million for Rojo, it would be a great deal. Wolves have brought in a number of quality players and could turn out to be the surprise package this season.

With Rojo on their side, the newly promoted side could just do well and this deal would help us make a move for the 25-year-old Maguire as we look to challenge for the Premier League under Mourinho.
