Manchester United will resist all offers from other clubs for Anthony Martial and are looking to extend his stay at the club for another year, according to the Telegraph.
Martial has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford after failing to become a starter for Jose Mourinho last season. The 22-year-old didn’t perform all that well either when he started for us and his agent had stated that the player would like to ply his trade elsewhere.
However, the report now claims that United have the option of extending his contract until 2020 and are looking to do so. Martial has just 12 months left on his current deal but the Red Devils can activate a clause in his deal which would keep him here until 2020.
While Martial has been linked with Tottenham, United want to keep hold of the 22-year-old for another year and see if he can re-ignite his career at Old Trafford.
The French attacker’s poor form also saw him get dropped from the France national side for the World Cup. Losing Martial would be a bit of a blow given how much quality and potential he has but he really has to pull up his socks this season.

Jose Mourinho might have to work hard on the player to get the best out of him. However, when he is in the right frame of mind, Martial is a handful even for the best defences in the world.
