Manchester United were held to another draw in their tour of America as the San Jose Earthquakes played out a 0-0 draw in Santa Clara.
The talk of the match was surrounding Alexis Sanchez as the Chilean made his first start of pre-season after solving his visa problems.
The former Arsenal man was the brightest player in our attack, however, it was Eric Bailly who came close to breaking the deadlock as he hit the bar early on.
There wasn’t really a lot to talk about as both clubs were looking to gain some playing time on the pitch, though we did start with youngster Tahith Chong in the team.
There was some concern for United manager Jose Mourinho as Antonio Valencia came off injured in the first half and the manager stated that we would have to get used to this.
While speaking to MUTV (h/t BBC) Mourinho said:
“He’s injured and I think we need to get used to it. Last season he was already in this type of situation and this season he will probably have more of that.”
The United fans were quick to share their assessment of the game on Twitter as they were not holding back regarding the performance of the team.
